- The NWT Youth Ambassador Program gives youth an opportunity to build leadership skills through participation at special events and volunteer assignments.
- Represent your community and the NWT
- Build leadership and life skills through specialized training and volunteering
- Meet youth from across the NWT and Canada
- Opportunity to travel and volunteer at special events.
- Two ways to apply: written application and verbal application
- Selection based on community involvement, commitment to a healthy lifestyle, and reflection on how the NWT Youth Ambassador Program will help them in the future.
- All eligible youth from across the NWT are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility – NWT Youth Ambassadors must:
- Between 16 -22 years of age as of January 1, 2023
- Be a resident of the Northwest Territories
- Hold valid NWT Health Care
- Must be available to attend the mandatory orientation session from November 3 – 7, 2022

We are excited to announce that the partnership with Aurora Ford & Table Tennis North will be continued.
“The partnership is helping us to support the smaller communities in the Mackenzie Region. Accessibility is key when it comes to support a sport like Table Tennis. It opens up so many possibilities for us and we are so very grateful” says Executive Director Thorsten Gohl. He continuous “Only good things will happen for Table Tennis in the North. You will see the Ford F150 driving along the highway a lot in the new future with clubs already established in Hay River, Fort Providence, Fort Smith, Fort Simpson and Yellowknife. Getting into an Arctic Winter Games year is always exciting and helps sports like Table Tennis to grow.

“This is exciting. We have done a lot of ground work in the last two years in the Northwest Territories, bringing our sport into 14 communities and now having 60 professional Table Tennis tables in the communities. Imagine what we can do with the partnership!” says Marny Twigge, the Vice President of Table Tennis North.
The Northern Ford dealership will provide the Table Tennis Association with a Ford F150 for the next two years. This is a huge milestone for the Territorial Sport Organization, being able to reach more communities with clinics, workshops and regular check ins.
Lee Cawson, VP Operations, Aurora Group, said: “We are very excited to be able to support Table Tennis North and do whatever we can to work with Thorsten to continue to bring these types of activities and events to our Northern communities and youth. The energy and passion that Thorsten brings to Table Tennis North fits in perfectly with our energy and passion at Aurora Ford both in Hay River and Yellowknife.”
