Guidelines

Table Tennis North (TTN) will be hosting their inaugural 2022 Virtual Freestyle Ping Pong Corporate Challenge. This event was developed to encourage new and continued participation in the sport of Table Tennis in the Northwest Territories through a safe avenue during these unprecedented times. The 2022 Virtual Freestyle Ping Pong Corporate Challenge is designed to be a fun event and bring some friendly competition as teams represent their organizations, and compete to win the TTN Corporate Challenge Trophy and bragging rights.

Competition Details:

The TTN 2022 Virtual Freestyle Ping Pong Corporate Challenge will take place from January 21 to 31, 2022. Registration for the challenge will take place starting January 17, 2022.

Eligibility

The Virtual Freestyle Ping Pong Challenge is open to all businesses and organizations located in the Northwest Territories with no age restrictions. A maximum of 4 participants are able to be a part of each team to represent a business or organization. Anyone working (including volunteering, internships, student placements, etc.) within the organizations are eligible to join. Organizations may register more than one team, however each team is independent of each other, and cannot combine their scores.

Competition Format

Team members must take part in each of the four (4) challenges. Each individual participant will record themselves completing the challenges in 30 seconds and submit a video of no more than 40 seconds to Dropbox for each challenge. These videos must be one continuous take and not be edited. As an alternative, all activities could be filmed together in one take in order to save time. Team members are recommended to do these challenges together to reduce the possibility of technical difficulties. Once the videos are submitted, Table Tennis North Officials will assess the results and calculate scores. The scores will be accumulated for each team member per organization to decide overall rankings. The business/organization with the highest combined total scores from all of their competitors will win prizes. The teams will be provided instructions below and on the TABLE TENNIS NORTH website for the activities. Along with the instructions, there will be videos demonstrating the proper technique for that activity and more information about it on the website.

Each video submitted must be named in the following format:

  • TEAMNAME_NAME_ACTIVITY#  – Example: TTN_JADEBONNETROUGE_ACTIVITY1.MOV
  • Dropbox Upload Link: Submit files – Dropbox
